This mouthwash is formulated to act on temporary oral lesions such as canker sores. Its concentration in sodium bicarbonate at 1.4%, gives the formula a buffering effect that helps neutralize acidity and restore a physiological oral pH. This limits the opportunistic microbial proliferation involved in the appearance of canker sores, irritations and superficial lesions, while helping to promote the natural repair of the oral mucosa. At the same time, it helps dissolve superficial deposits responsible for the loss of dental shine, ensuring non-abrasive whitening. The combination of humectants (glycerin and sorbitol) with menthol helps maintain hydration of the oral mucosa while providing an immediate sensation of freshness.

What triggers canker sores?

Canker sores are superficial lesions of the oral mucosa, often linked to a combination of irritative, immune or environmental factors. Their appearance can be triggered by:

✓ An imbalance in oral pH and increased acidity often induced by diet: Citrus and acidic fruits, spicy or vinegary foods, nuts, chocolate, caffeinated drinks (coffee, tea).

✓ Mechanical microtraumas, such as accidental bites to the cheek or tongue, hard toothbrushes, dental braces, aligners, prostheses.

✓ Thermal shocks , linked to the alternating and sudden consumption of very hot then very cold drinks, or vice versa.
