What is micellar water?

Micellar water is a mixture based on water and micelles (phospholipids also known as surfactants). These micelles have 2 poles, a hydrophilic pole (soluble in water) and a lipophilic pole (which binds fats, insoluble in water). This dual affinity enables them to attract impurities of all kinds (make-up, impurities linked to air pollution, sebum, perspiration, desquamation...) and bind them to the cotton.
